Come for the hula, stay for the ‘ohana.
Hula in the Desert
Aloha
This 1-hour hula adult class is perfect for beginners and all levels who want to learn Hawaiian hula in a fun, supportive studio environment. You’ll start with basic steps, graceful hand movements, and learn the story behind the dance. No previous experience is needed.
If you have children
For now, the class is designed for adults, but ages 7 and up are warmly welcome. Younger children may need more individualized attention than I can currently provide while keeping the flow and energy of the class strong for everyone.
If there’s enough interest, I’d love to create a fun, dedicated keiki (kids’) class in the future!
What to bring
Comfortable clothes you can move in
Slippers or shoes that are easy to remove (we dance barefoot)
Water bottle
If you own a paʻū skirt, feel free to bring it! Regular clothes are perfectly fine.
Stay connected
The Facebook Page is the best place to stay up to date on classes, workshops, events, song translations, and community gatherings. It’s where I’ll be sharing announcements, behind-the-scenes moments, and everything happening within our hula community.
Our original Facebook Group is still open as a community space for conversation and connection, but all official updates and class information will now be shared through the Facebook Page moving forward.
